IP Marketplace

Research conducted by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office indicates that trade with knowledge is not widely spread in Denmark.

The companies find it difficult to get an over-view of who wants to buy and sell IP rights and it is costly in both time and money to enter a license agreement.

The Danish Government wants to create a better working and more transparent market for trade with knowledge, which has potential to contribute to increase the innovation in Danish companies.

In 2007 we therefore launched the internet-based marketplace for trade with knowledge and IP rights such as patents, trademarks and designs. On the Marketplace, sellers can put their right out for sale and buyers can get an overview of which rights are for sale. Furthermore, the marketplace has links to international marketplaces.

IP Marketplace provides the companies with a simple and free opportunity to show other interested parties their own technology and get an overview of others’ technologies.
