Denmark participate in Global PPH program

The Danish Patent and Trademark Office and 16 other intellectual property offices launch a Global Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot arrangement, commencing on 6 January 2014.

The countries of the 17 offices involved in the Global PPH (GPPH) pilot are:

Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Korea, Nordic Patent Institute, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom, Unites States of America, Sweden, Israel, Hungary and Iceland.

The GPPH pilot will allow patent applicants to request accelerated examination at any of the offices involved in the pilot if their claims have been found to be acceptable by any of the other offices involved in the pilot.

The pilot will use a single set of qualifying requirements and it aims to simplify and improve the existing PPH network so that it is more accessible to users.

Further information on the pilot and its qualifying requirements is available from the Global PPH section of the PPH portal website.
